HOW DOES BEING A SUBSCRIPTION MEMBER BENEFIT YOU?

Ambulance bills can range as high as $2,500 depending on the level of service provided. Most insurance companies do not pay 100% of the charges- leaving the patient to pay the balance. Our subscription membership program helps with the out of pocket expense not covered by your insurance company. In the event that you need ambulance service, Levittown Fairless Hills Rescue Squad will submit a bill to your insurance company. Insurance payments are then applied to your balance. Once the insurance benefits of the subscriber are exhausted, we write off any remaining balance.

 

FREQUENTLY ASKED SUBSCRIPTION MEMBERSHIP QUESTIONS

Q. Why should I become a subscription member?
A. You keep us going! Your contributions help to assure we will be there to provide you with the best emergency medical care possible. We believe that our membership program not only helps us but also benefits you because we understand that unexpected emergencies can happen at any time including times when finances are tough. Your subscription membership will help with any remaining balances not paid by your insurance.

Q. I have health insurance, do I need a membership?
A. Yes. Most insurance companies pay only a portion of the cost of ambulance transportation, leaving the patient to pay any outstanding balance. If you are a subscriber, Levittown-Fairless Hills Rescue Squad will accept your insurance company's payment as payment in full, with no out-of-pocket expense to you.

Q. Can anyone visiting me or is temporarily staying with me, be covered by the subscription membership?
A. No. A subscription membership covers only the residents who live in the household.

Q. When does my subscription membership expire?
A. Your paid subscription is valid from January 1st to December 31st.

 

AMBULANCE REPLACEMENT CAMPAIGN

Once again, we ask for your support for our Ambulance Replacement Campaign. Ambulances degrade at much higher rates than other vehicles and when it gets close to replacement time, they have a tendency to spend more time in the shop than on the street. Although our fleet is well maintained, frequent repairs are inevitable due to regular wear and tear. In fact, even with regular maintenance and repairs, ambulance reliability decreases significantly over three years or 100,000 miles.

 

We need your support! Your monetary donations towards this campaign will 100% support our efforts to keep our fleet in superior working condition to provide the best and safest services to our community.

 

TAX EXEMPT STATUS

The Levittown-Fairless Hills Rescue Squad is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization. In most cases, your donation is tax deductible. Please check with your tax advisor for more details. Important: The Levittown-Fairless Hills Rescue Squads subscription program is not an offer for the sale of an insurance policy, and this program is not applicable to Medical Assistance beneficiaries. Membership is not a contract for the provision of emergency or non-emergency services at any specific time; all services are subject to availability. Services may be provided by a mutual aid service during periods in which LFHRS may be unavailable. Levittown-Fairless Hills Rescue Squad assumes no responsibility for the charges of said mutual aid ambulance provider.

 

All or part of the Levittown-Fairless Hills Rescue Squads subscription program may be subject to modification without notice. Please keep in mind, If you are a subscriber and your insurance company pays you directly for services we render and you fail to forward your insurance payment to LFHRS, your subscription will be considered null and void and LFHRS will take appropriate action to recover the payment made by your insurance company.
